
Senior Scientist
Research Division
You will be the main driver of research activity at CPR. You must possess the requisite expertise in your assigned research function, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of Research Assistants in drug discovery projects.
CPR is seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in drug discovery utilizing novel organic chemistry and biotechnology platform. You will leverage your passion and creativity to lead mid-size molecule projects through the identification of drug candidates, collaborating with other multi-disciplinary teams to achieve a milestone of a project. The candidate will play a key role in driving our innovative drug discovery projects and cutting-edge technology development through the fusion of chemistry and biotechnology.
Key Responsibilities
- Hit peptide identification from screening with our Mid-size library.
- Lead candidates creation through optimization of hit peptide.
- Novel peptide screening technology development.
- Propose and lead drug discovery project.
Job Requirements
The applicant should be highly skilled in at least one of the following areas:
- Organic chemistry.
- Peptide chemistry or nucleic acid chemistry, including solid phase synthesis.
- Medicinal chemistry in small molecules and/or mid-size molecules.
- Chemical biology for protein structure and mode of action analysis.
Qualifications
- Completed and be awarded with a relevant Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry/Chemical Biology with 1-2 years of working experience in related fields.
- Able to demonstrate technical expertise in areas which may include peptide chemistry and nucleotide chemistry and as evidenced by projects, presentations, or peer-reviewed scientific publications.
- Scientists with strong passion in medical science for creating and delivering innovative drugs to society which leads to saving patients suffering from unmet medical needs are highly desired.
- Familiarity or having prior work experience in precise experiments with great attention to details (i.e., comparable attention required for aseptic manipulation) will be a plus.
- Good command of spoken and written English, excellent organizational and communication skills, team player mindset, as well as the ability to multi-task.
As we continue to grow, CPR is seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacologist to join our dynamic R&D team. The candidate is expected to be a Ph.D. Scientist with expertise in in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies. The candidate will have a strong background of molecular biology and be responsible for disease target validation. The candidate will lead antibody screening for drug discovery projects. Depending on the experience and opportunity, the candidate will also lead antibody drug discovery projects and participate in strategic discussions to advance programs through pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct pharmacological studies to evaluate efficacy and mechanism of action of novel therapies
- Analyze and interpret data from in vitro and in vivo studies
- Mentor junior researchers and research associates
- Propose new drug discovery projects
- Draft publication or patent application with the support of IP specialists
Job Requirements
The applicant should be highly skilled in some of the following areas:
- Experience with drug discovery research (not limiting to antibody drug discovery) would be highly advantageous.
- Proficient in cell culture techniques with experience handling various mammalian cell lines
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques (e.g. generation of stable cell lines with overexpression, knockdown, and knockout of a gene, PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA).
- Experience with flow cytometry and cell sorting is preferred.
- Hands-on in vivo experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a pharmaceutical or biomedical research environment with at least 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of drug development processes, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics is preferred.
- Demonstrate expertise in molecular or cell biology as evidenced by projects, presentations, or peer-reviewed scientific publications.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques and data analysis software (e.g. Graphpad Prism and excel).
- Excellent communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.

Experience and knowledge in antibody drug discovery would be an advantage but is not required.
