Senior Scientist

Research Division

You will be the main driver of research activity at CPR. You must possess the requisite expertise in your assigned research function, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of Research Assistants in drug discovery projects.

As a Senior Scientist in CPR, you will leverage your passion and creativity to lead an innovative antibody drug project through a characterization of drug candidates, collaborating with other multi-disciplinary teams to achieve a milestone of a project. The candidate will play a key role to drive our innovative drug discovery project and technology development by characterizing its properties with biochemistry and biophysics analysis.

The job scope is as follows:

  • Lead the affinity screening assay of antibody during optimization phase using SPR analysis or BLI analysis.
  • Plan and conduct antibody/ligand binding analysis.
  • Plan and conduct biophysical analysis to evaluate physicochemistry properties of antibody.
  • Novel protein analysis technology development.
  • Developability and manufacturability assessment of antibody drug.

Job Requirements

The applicant is recommended to have experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Analysis of protein-protein interactions (SPR, BLI, ELISA)
  • Column chromatography analysis (IE, SE, RP etc.)
  • DLS, DSC, solubility test, stability test
  • LCMS analysis of proteins

The applicant must have completed and be awarded with a relevant Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Science/Biochemistry/Chemical Biology/Biotechnology/Life Science/Pharma Science with 1-2 years of working experience in a related field.

Scientists with strong passion in medical science for creating and delivering innovative drugs to society which leads to saving patients suffering from unmet medical needs are highly desired.  You should also possess good command of spoken and written English, excellent organizational and communication skills, team player mindset, as well as the ability to multi-task.

The candidate will perform tasks instructed by Research Manager and receive training from mentor in the lab for instrument operation and conducting experiments. The candidate is expected to work independently in daily experimental tasks after receiving training from mentor. The candidates will be assigned to a project in early research for drug discovery and development from high throughput screening to developability and manufacturability assessment.
