Senior Scientist

Research Division

You will be the main driver of research activity at CPR. You must possess the requisite expertise in your assigned research function, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of Research Assistants in drug discovery projects.

CPR is seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in cell biology or pharmacology with a focus on regenerative medicine. This position will also focus on creating new drug discovery research concepts.

 

Job requirements

The applicant should have experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Strong and proven expertise in regenerative medicine on specific tissue/organ, such as lung, kidney, liver, skin, nerve or others.
  • Experience with stem cell research or stem cell bioengineering.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing cell-based assays, image based phenotypic assays, high content image assay and analysis or in vitro and in vivo pharmacological study.

 

It would be an added advantage if the applicant is also skilled in at least one of the following areas:

  • Expertise in 3D cell culture models, such as spheroid, organoid, organ slice and organ-on-a-chip.
  • Experience with live cell imaging and primary cell culture.
  • Knowledge of disease biology such as inflammation, cancer, fibrosis and regeneration.
  • Knowledge and skill of general scripting language is a plus but not a must.

 

The applicant must have completed and be awarded with a relevant Ph.D degree in molecular and cell biology, immunology, pharmacology or related Life Science field with 2-3 years of working experience in a related field.

 

Scientists with strong passion in medical science for creating and delivering innovative drugs to society which leads to saving patients suffering from unmet medical needs are highly desired.  Familiarity or having prior work experience in antibody drug discovery work will be a plus, although not absolutely necessary. You should also possess good command of spoken and written English, excellent organizational and communication skills, team player mindset, as well as the ability to multi-task.

CPR is seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in drug discovery utilizing novel biotechnology and chemical biology platform. The job scope is as follows:

 

  • Lead peptide identification screening such as Beads-based separation, ELISA, Alphascreen, qPCR, NGS analysis, robotic operation
  • Novel screening technology development
  • Novel peptide engineering technology development
  • Drug discovery project proposal and promotion

 

Job Requirements

The applicant is recommended to have experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Chemical biology or nucleic acid chemistry
  • Antibody, protein, or peptide engineering
  • In vitro display / bio-panning (e.g.: phage display, cell display, SELEX, etc )
  • In vitro compartmentalization, Microfluidics, or Nanopore technology
  • Targeted protein degradation or RNA-targeting small molecule research
  • Lead identification screening in drug discovery
  • Coding for wet experiments from scratch, machine learning, big data analysis, data visualization or business intelligence analysis

 

The applicant must have completed and be awarded with a relevant Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Science/Biochemistry/Chemical Biology/Biotechnology/Information science with 1-2 years of working experience in a related field.  In addition, the successful candidates must be able to demonstrate technical expertise in areas which may include nucleic acid chemistry, biology and protein chemistry as evidenced by projects, presentations, or peer-reviewed scientific publications.

 

Scientists with strong passion in medical science for creating and delivering innovative drugs to society which leads to saving patients suffering from unmet medical needs are highly desired.  Familiarity or having prior work experience in precise experiments with great attention to details (i.e. comparable attention require for aseptic manipulation) will be a plus, although not absolutely necessary. CPR is seeking a Ph.D. Scientist with expertise in in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies. The candidate will also be responsible for disease target validation and have a strong background in the areas of either immunology and/or inflammation, fibrotic disease biology or chronic disease-related physiology. The candidate will lead antibody drug discovery project and participate in strategic discussions to advance programs through pipeline.

 

Job requirements

The applicant should be highly skilled in at least one of the following areas:

  • Expertise in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, animal handing, pharmacological study in both in vitro and in vivo model.
  • Strong and proven expertise in disease biology and molecular biology for pharmacological research.
  • Advance knowledge in in vitro and in vivo pharmacology such as construction of animal models, pathological analysis and genetic analysis.
  • Knowledge and skill of protein or antibody engineering is a plus but not a must.
