Senior Scientist

Research Division

You will be the main driver of research activity at CPR. You must possess the requisite expertise in your assigned research function, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of Research Assistants in drug discovery projects.

CPR is seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in antibody discovery with a focus on therapeutic lead antibodies and high quality tool antibodies to accelerate our research.  This position will also focus on target hunting and validation using various state-of-the-art technologies.

 

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in molecular and cell biology, immunology, pharmacology or related life science field.

The applicant should have at least one of the following qualification:

  • Proficiency in designing and developing cell based assays, image based phenotypic assays or high content image assay and analysis.
  • Strong and proven expertise in antibody identification technology, such as single B cell cloning technology, human antibody library or hybridoma technology.
  • Experience with advanced technology development of phage display technology or other display technology.

 

Desirable Qualifications

The successful candidate will preferably have following additional qualifications:

  • Expertise in Lab automation, High-Throughput Screening and data management.
  • Expertise in 3D cell culture models, such as spheroid, organoid, organ slice and organ-on-a-chip.
  • Experience with live cell imaging and primary cell culture.
  • Knowledge of disease biology such as inflammation, cancer, fibrosis and regeneration.
  • Knowledge and skill of general scripting language is a plus but not a must.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills for working on cross-functional multi-disciplinary teams.

 

Scientists with strong passion in medical science for creating and delivering innovative drugs to society which leads to saving patients suffering from unmet medical needs are highly desired.  Familiarity or having prior work experience in antibody drug discovery work will be a plus, although not absolutely necessary. You should also possess good command of spoken and written English, excellent organizational and communication skills, team player mindset, as well as the ability to multi-task.

CPR is seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in drug discovery utilizing novel biotechnology platform.  The job scope is as follows:

 

  • Screening – ELISA, bead-based separation etc.
  • DNA/RNA analysis – primer design, PCR, qPCR, purification (spin column, magnetic beads, ethanol precipitation, phenol chloroform extraction etc.), electrophoresis (Agarose gel, Urea-PAGE), NGS (Illumina, Oxford Nanopore) etc.
  • Protein analysis – SDS-PAGE, western blotting, ELISA etc.

 

Job Requirements

The applicant is recommended to have experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Lead identification screening in drug discovery
  • Antibody, protein or peptide engineering
  • In vitro display and biopanning
  • RNA-related analytics, protein purification, NGS data analysis, robotics operation, phage display, SELEX
  • In vitro compartmentalization, microfluidics, nanopore technology
  • Machine learning, business intelligence analysis

 

The applicant must have completed and be awarded with a relevant Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Science/Biochemistry/Chemical Biology/Biotechnology/Information science with 1-2 years of working experience in a related field.  In addition, the successful candidates must be able to demonstrate technical expertise in areas which may include nucleic acid chemistry, biology and protein chemistry as evidenced by projects, presentations, or peer-reviewed scientific publications.

 

Scientists with strong passion in medical science for creating and delivering innovative drugs to society which leads to saving patients suffering from unmet medical needs are highly desired.  Familiarity or having prior work experience in precise experiments with great attention to details (i.e. comparable attention require for aseptic manipulation) will be a plus, although not absolutely necessary. You should also possess good command of spoken and written English, excellent organizational and communication skills, team player mindset, as well as the ability to multi-task.

CPR is seeking for a scientist with expertise in pharmacology.

 

Job requirements

The applicant should be highly skilled in at least one of the following areas:

  • Strong and proven expertise in disease biology and molecular biology for pharmacological research.
  • Advance knowledge in in vitro and in vivo pharmacology such as construction of animal models, pathological analysis and genetic analysis.
  • Expertise in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, animal handling, pharmacological study in both in vitro and in vivo model.
  • Strong organizational skills to deal with large amounts of data and excellent communication and collaborative skills, as well as a team player mindset for working with cross-functional multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge and skill of protein or antibody engineering is a plus but not a must.
