Handling of Personal Information

Privacy Policy

Recognizing the importance of personal information and observing the applicable data protection legislation (including without limitation and where applicable, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012 of Singapore)) (hereinafter referred to as “the Acts”), and other laws and regulations, Chugai Pharmabody Research Pte., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) shall establish the Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “the Policy”) as a guideline for appropriate collection, use, disclosure, control and protection of personal information.

    The Company will acquire/collect personal information in an appropriate and fair manner but within the business scope of the Company.

    When a request is received from an individual or his/her legally authorized representatives regarding notice of the purpose of use, disclosure, amendment and suspension of use, etc. of his/her personal data possessed by the Company, the Company will respond to such request in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Internal Organization for Protection of Personal Information
    The Company will control and protect personal information appropriately by appointing a Supervisor in Charge of Personal Information Protection and establishing a Personal Information Protection Promotion Secretariat/Data Protection Officer within the Company.
  • Internal Rules and Education on Protection of Personal Information
    The Company shall establish the internal rules in order to implement this policy, which will be thoroughly disseminated, understood and observed by all of its officers and employees through continuous education and training.

The Company may by notice through this website or by such other method of notification as we may designate (which may include notification by way of e-mail), vary the terms and conditions of this Policy, such variation to take effect on the date the Company specifies (which shall generally be no less than seven days from the date of the notice). If you use or access the Company’s products or services after such date, you are deemed to have accepted such variation. If you do not accept the variation, you must stop accessing or using the Company’s products or services.

    • Provision and disclosure of information on payment to medical-related persons and researchers, for the purpose of securing transparency

    • Communication with persons of business partners, outside contracted vendors and competitors

    • Enhancing skills of telephone operators and realization of better customer service
    • Feed-back of details of consultations and responses to them to medical-information staff of the Company
    • Communication and provision of medical information to product manufacturers and distributors

Provision of Personal Data to a Third Party

The Company may provide personal data on medical-related persons to other medical-related persons, our affiliated companies and related entities and corporations, or business partners in order to achieve “Purposes of Using Personal Information”. If an individual so requests, the Company shall immediately suspend providing his/her personal data to third parties.

Pursuant to laws and regulations, the Company acquires anonymously processed information processed by an appropriate method so that the processed information can neither be able to identify a specific individual nor be able to restore the personal information, and use it for analysis, survey, etc.

Application Procedures for Disclosing, Access and Correction of Personal Information

  1. Sending an Application
    If you wish to apply to the Company for subjected purposes, please contact us by the Inquiry Form.  When you fill the inquiry form, please make sure to include following requirements:
    1. (A) Please choose the title of your inquiry as “Application for Personal information disclosure / access / correction”
    2. (B) Documents for Identification of the Applicant
      A copy of a driver’s license, a passport or an original resident certificate
      (Response to the application will be sent to the address indicated in these documents. Changes of mailing address after sending an application should be notified to us immediately.)
  2. Responses to the Application
    All responses will be made in writing to the address of the applicant indicated in the document for identification of the applicant within 1 month from the date that the applicant is identified and confirmed by the Company.
